Yeah, I'm contemplating the Armour yellow version too.  Hopefully the sales will be good enough to look at more trains that went from Chicago to or through the Twin Cities.  Maybe a nice box set with both a Hiawatha and a 400 that you can race from Minneapolis to Chicago!
Jason

Armour Yellow will be a must have, and just about any train that ran through the Twin Cities would make me happy, even the ones that called the GN depot home.  :)

Still hoping that Rocket with the TA is in the future somewhere...

Yeah a friend of mine that grew up in the Chicago area is also hoping for the Armour yellow, as that's what he saw growing up.

NP had two FP7's, 6600 and 6601, usually assigned to locals out of St Paul to Duluth and International Falls, they did occasionally run on the Mainstreeter and NCL, only as far as Livingston MT.

I'll likely be getting a couple to strip and reprint in NP.
I’m not here to argue

A production sample I just finished installing Loksound micros in along with interior lighting.

My apologies for the poor lighting in my shop and an old smart phone who's video leaves something to be desired.

Enjoy! ;)

Hmmm ... just like with the COLA, the dome is not lit up. I'll have to fix that ...

Kato just posted this.  Some good vintage footage mixed in.

Hopefully the last thread update before I get mine in my grubby little hands.

Went to DesPlaines Hobbies today to check out the Kato Olympian Hiawatha. I was real pleased with the passenger cars. The only nit I would pick would be with the black paint under the cab front windows on the FP7 A units.

I think they are still there, but maybe not!...tough to see in the photo above. I'm going back over all my photos and videos of them earlier in the summer to check that out...

Should the air intake grilles be silver, or not?

The pre-production one still had em, so I'm thinking same old Kato here. We'll know soon.  :D
