Thanks for the link. I will probably pick up a multimark or 2. Unfortunately they do have that hefty shipping from Canada issue too....I swear when it comes to shipping, Canada is an ocean away and China is right next door

By "wild" do you mean prototype photos?

I agree they seem hard to find. I reserved and purchased mine from a Canadian dealer when they first came out.

They don't want flat cars either other than TOFCs, which makes absolutely no sense given the anoint of diversity there. I'd rather see more non-intermodal well cars, depressed-center flats, and general purpose flats (and gondolas) than more boxcars.

I have a nice group of ESM mill gons. I've actually been waiting for some Milwaukee ones. I got the set of 8 Milwaukee WOT flatcars  they are nice.

Agree completely... For two countries as close as ours it would be nice if it were more economical for the little guy to ship cross border...

sort of. Most of their stuff is available through Credit Valley - which actually does good stuff ordering wise and has a web site that's a tab better then MBK. Where it goes ugly is when Prarie Shadows does a special run for Pacific. Western Rail System. Their ordering is ludicrous - you have to sign up to be a member of their "club" to order.

But yeah I wish they would pick up a south of the border distributor. Perhaps @rapidotrains can chat them up over a cup of tea on the bus.

Two of the cars now missing from my New Haven roster are the 40' gondolas and the 40' flats,the latter either as flats or are TOFC modifications....aah well!

You can use the Red Caboose 40' flat as a strong stand-in, and also the MTL 50' fishbelly flat. Along with standard length 53' flats, NH also had 50' flats with side-mounted Ajax brakestands that were used both in general service and TOFC service. The stake pocket arrangement is off, but it is the N scale model most accurate to the prototype.

The Atlas 40' gondola is probably the best stand-in for New Haven, but it's short in both its length and in the number of side panels.

As I recall, the inside length of the Atlas A1G (Trainman) gondola is 40'.

Yes, I am aware of the various models I could substitute..trying to decal the gons can be a challenge with the incorrect spacing of the ribs but they are not a current priority.
I have the IM  53'6" flats, also some of the early Rivarossi/Minitrix 40' flats  so have something to work on as time permits.
Always looking for something more accurate though.
