Been enjoying my Bluford Shops MStL hoppers, really nice cars. Going to give them a week or two in new condition and then they get the weathering treatment. Thanks Bluford for the Louie goodies.

It took a little digging, but here's an article on riding the train in the opening picture.  Apparently the events pictured aren't unusual.

I've been working on the Missoula, MT yard and a unique structure at the South end was the Highlander Brewery. The goal is to come up with a model that reflects closely the size and look of the prototype but for practicality and sanities sake, not exact.  Unfortunately the brewery was torn down in the late sixties to make way for Interstate 90 and few pictures can be found.  Fortunately, somebody bought the name and is currently producing beer under the old logo.  I have a cool Highlander Beer truck project underway too but that is for another post.  MUCH work yet to do.

I think I just accidentally upvoted twice- didn't know I could do that.  But you deserve it- it took quite an eye to see that building as a collection of DPM modulars, and I doubt I would have spotted it in the finished product if you hadn't shown the "in progress" shot.  Good work.

I gave up rivet counting when I couldn't see an N scale rivet anymore.

I have finished the coupler install for my hoppers, also adding a few details such as cut levers and air hoses, and wrapping it up with some weathering.

Excellent! What scale is that?

Hmm... I'm guessing its
1:1 scale...

The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

I'll keep Wolf's Daylight theme going. SP 4450 needs a little help with an excursion train as they pass through the oil patch.

Very nice job Andrew!  It certainly has the odd look and feel of the original building. Looking at that photo, this would have been a perfect model for Dave from Cache Junction - he loved to produce models of unique brick structures.

Nice job, Andrew! That's an excellent representation of the structure. I can't wait to see it painted and installed.

With the news that MTL is making some changes/modifications/improvements? to their True Scale Coupler, I'm going to try and use this time to finish of some other 3D projects.

First is the CNW rebuilt box car side which should be finished finally.

Probably going to have to "print it anyway" due to some narrow areas that I refuse to fatten up to their specs.

Hopefully next can be the NP flat and possibly the CGW motor car if I feel like drawing out the coupler area.
