Finally started some landscaping.  Apple orchard in.  Also, took possession of the latest update.  Stewartstown #10.  GE44.

I think the orchard looks terrific!

Are you going to ballast the track?

Thanks.  I go back and forth on ballasting.  I probably will at certain locations.

Also, details about the #10. I happen to know someone who models the connecting line...

Why not ballast it?

Look how John Sing transformed his layout with ballast and track painting...

You're adding some powerful scenic elements– Why not go the next step and complete the scene?

Last weekend I got up to the Lehigh Valley to do some railfanning and investigate a number of "Big Mike Approved" spots.

Now that's my kind of railfan trip!!!!!  Forget about the trains.  Let's eat!

Eh, I like Ed's rail-fanning idea better: Watch trains *AND* eat!  Best of both worlds.   :)

I am in the process of making a master for an E6/E7 fuel tank to fit on the Kato E8 chassis and cast a few for projects down the line. These will go on Southern Pacific 6000A,B,C in their as delivered Golden State colors.

I got a couple of hours in on my new HO Beer Line "Snake Track" branch. Got some cork laid and getting ready to lay some track.

Best wishes, Dave

For anyone that likes graphs, I did some speaker testing in the N Scale Royal Hudson build thread.  It may prove useful for other locos as well.

Completed the C-Liners and added some weathering.  Project also involved eye surgery to improve the windshield appearance, added Trainphone antenna and Micro Trains True Scale couplers.
