Silicon Valley FreeMoN at Hiller Aviation Trains & Planes Show

Starting last Saturday, and ending this afternoon, SV FreeMoN (along with a number of other local groups, such as Peninsula N-Track, AsiaNRail, Diablo Valley Garden and Golden Gate Lionel) have been displaying and running trains every day at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, CA. This is their annual Trains and Plane show. (personal fact, it was the first of these shows where I was first introduced to the group)

We set up last Friday afternoon. A bit smaller than our usual layout, and not quite so much space as one of the big train shows, but that is the beauty of the flexibility of Free-Mo-N. We even put one of our return loops around a piller in the museum!

On Thursday, the three of us who were there during the week, declared that it would be "Yellow Train" Day. We had to run UP. First up, I set up Big Boy #4023 to run a mixed load of coal, freight and fruit; as well as FEF #844 with passenger excursion

Dang!  Missed it by one week! 
I'll be in Anaheim next week and opted to take the Coastal Starlight and Zephyr home, which gives me a one night layover in SF on Thursday.

The layout is looking great as always!
