Just waiting patiently for the single window coach....  The current month offerings are making it easier to save up.

I'd be in for a GN hopper, but I already made the decals and did one myself

@mplsjct Very Nice! Making decals for the Soo line version of the aluminum Magor cars is on my project list, that is unless Microtrains makes a runner pack.  :D

Um, they are what they are? :?  Hope everyone gets everything they need!

For me, the weathered/graffiti releases are usually awesome, and what I pick up if in era.  Never noticed the box car tooling as deficient, but I am not a picker of nit or detail oriented as some.

Awesome Jerry!  8)

(if folks followed the link I posted they would know that this was originally a wood "horse and carriage" car which was later rebuilt in the late 1920s into a baggage car (the diagram Jerry posted shows two doors  :D). The link says rebuilt with "steel underframe" so I guess it retained wood sides (?).)

NH 3844 courtesy of the Passenger Train Photo Index.  Lest there be any doubt about whether they stayed wood cars (I am guessing in work service at the end)...caption says 2012- 106 years after it hit the rails.

Here's a comment...
These make me so sad that the tooling being used hasn't been updated! I'd love some of these cars, but just can't get past them being squished.

No harm, no foul - the prototype appears to be a FGE-built car:

The looking forward logo dates them to post 2008. That being said the cars were pulled from various classes and quickly patched and re-lettered much more recently (within the last 5 years or so).
The earliest photo I can find of a TTYX car with the new logo is 2014.

Not sure what MT is doing with their so-called REX 40' cars.  The series that they are using for the numbers is for 50' cars very similar to the 50' express car that they produce... why they chose to foobie these is a bit beyond me...

I think they are real , There really was a beer by that name ,"The pale stale beer with the foam on the bottom "  Never tried it , but I think it's usually available around Thanksgiving or Christmas .
