It there a "making textures for dummies" somewhere?

All the ones I seem to find look like photo skins and not a real texture.

Is there a way to do it with a raster image where you use grey scale to measure how deep to go?

In Blender, it can be done.  There a bunch of videos out there but I have not tried it myself.  Blender is free and ideal for texture work.

@robert3985 , I finally pursued the PWM settings on the Saturn 4 16k ultra that you suggested.  By decreasing both PWM settings I could resolve the holes in my test I posted a while back.  With PWM at 135 (53%) @2 seconds with 8k resin, it would print 0.25 mm holes consistently. You can't even see them but they exist when you hold them up to the light.  It also operated much cooler - ~28 vs 34 °C, and the baseplate came off easier and even had some of the holes.  I could not discern any difference in the print dimensions but it needs more testing.  It is getting much less UV so the exposure might need tweaking for prints. Thanks for the suggestion!

The station is finally printed and ready for paint.

Outstanding in all facets.  Nice work.

Back home and working on the station again.   I printed some window painting masks for the station.  I also designed station details that I recorded during my research trip.  The golf cart is from Thingiverse and is a decent stand-in.  There are benches, different types of Parks Canada garbage bins, transformers and lanterns on stone pillars.  Even the microscopic wall lanterns, bike racks and picnic benches printed perfectly.  The capabilities of printing continue to impress me, these are exquisite and stand up to the closest scrutiny.
