N Scale Life-Like SW power pick up.

So naturally I broke all of my contact wipers off. They are a silly design anyway. I found two references to improving pick up but they were dead links. Can anyone help out with this? I have an idea to use some contact strips from an Atlas loco (I have extras) but I'm interested in what others have done. I'm not sure I'll attach th to the bottom of the sill. Maybe two sided tape?

Thanks.

I seriously dislike that design, if only because you cannot run it without the shell fully on. Makes it heck to diagnose running problems or test chassis mods. Interested in seeing what you come up with.

Craig,
Check out what this guy did for his SW9. Might be worth trying.
