so poking around on Google Street view, I finally captured an image of the company sign for the warehouse district that I'm doing in the back right of the layout:
https://goo.gl/maps/6AtguHMuSeaPY3xi8

Any good ideas on how to capture it so I can take the yellow light pole guy wire out?

Aside from misadventures in signage, I started on an unloaded for the Sir Lee Salt warehouse. This is a Rix elevator kit glues to some sheet styrene. The styrene will represent the coffers vault under the track so there paint and grating in my future.

The local railroad pause for the volunteer firefighters parading up US 61 north in celebration of our nation’s birthday.

Sweet!  Good to see some trains out.   Can’t wait for when they can stretch their legs in some roundy-round action.

In other news I finished up the salt elevator for the surly salt warehouse. Still need to get it under the tracks and the do the bins behind it.

Primer anyone?

I like it ..   various pipes in the plumbing department at Lowes or HD are great starting points for these kinds of things .. and even in N scale, the ladders and associated hardware can be printed in resin
