Thanks for the heads up.  I grabbed one of Mike's Secret Weapon trucks from MBK and now they're out of stock.  Does @SecretWeapon get a cut of the proceeds?

Peter:  Depends on your definition of "modern".  Here's what the original Trainworx email had:

I think that the truck line may be far outselling trains over at Trainworx.

Lots of N scale trains available, very few good trucks to connect/compete with them.

Trainworx makes good freight cars, and all of them have been popular prototypes, but the only two I really needed were the 4-bay hoppers and piggyback cars.  I have enough hoppers to last a lifetime, and don't need many TOFC flats, so any cars I buy now would be in the "that looks neat" category, not "my road NEEDS that".

Good trucks are scarce.  Good log trucks are much scarcer, and hard to build.  If this one is as nice as the tractors I have, I'll be looking for a bunch more in the future.  I need some way to get the logs to my log flats.

Very true - had to pass on these as timing was all wrong finance wise and not really wanting anything else at the moment that could justify high mailing costs.

Hopefully Trainworx are on a winner with these and the logger comes out in a generic version at some stage.

I've solved the mailing costs.  Chuck puts all of my orders in a Priority Mail box, and when the box is full, sends it to me.  I may have to wait a while for the stuff, but that's not a problem, and it's cheaper than paying shipping for one small item at a time.

Some of the Trainworx Custom Trucks rolled by my place this weekend, and I managed to snap of few photos.   :D

Vern Henderson’s 1956 Peterbilt 351 logger:

John Zwergel’s 1973 Kenworth K100:

John Patten’s Peterbilt 379 heavy haul:

Mike Sabia’s Kenworth W900:

Mark Morris’ 2000 Peterbilt 379:

The attention to detail on these trucks just keeps getting better!

From Pete at BLW on latest release, posted on product website:

"We don't have an exact handle on how many we are getting. We have several "will take all you have left" situations so won't know for sure exactly where we stand on these probably until end of this week... Am not accepting any more reservations."

This whole Trainworx trucks thing is nuts!!  Those speculators will then sell those models on eBay for outrageous prices.  Funny that the Micro-Trains collectible marked died out, but now we have Trainworx collectible trucks. A new and exciting collectible!   I still say that Trainworx is doing a disservice to modelers by all those limited runs. Hopefully they will re-run these.  I'm still waiting for truck parts.  This model truck market has obviously exploded - I hope that Trainworx realizes that and adjust their production accordingly.

Part of the problem is that not only are model railroaders getting these, so are vehicle collectors and truck drivers .  When the cattle haulers came out, I ended up getting one because a friend of mine use to haul cattle in the same set up, white/blue cab and trailer.  Not sure what parts you are looking for, but there are some still available on MTS website.  Some T800 items and the 350/351 cab kits.
