This looks nice.  He is open to doing decals from artwork, but I assume this sort of service is already well-known to the Railwire community?  I am a decal neophyte.

I'll bet the "true 1200x1200" versions (versus the $3600 base model) are $4.5K and up. However, if one were to do this as a service and made sure the word got out to the hobbyist community, I can easily see it paying for itself within a year.

Now if I had a small decal company, I would figure out how to get the loan for this and write off the money after 5 years. It's not like Oki is going away, since they are about the only name in dot matrix printers left and they said those were gonna go away years ago....

This is one of those things that I think Highball could use to better advantage than the Alps they were using for several years.

Just think if Microscale used this as an option to print out of production sets that sell too slowly to justify a conventional production run.
