Very nice Chris. I have a couple of the Atlas Erie cars also, but with a white rather than a yellow logo. Is that wrong? Since you're an Erie guy, I figured I'd ask... (I model targeting 1950). Also, one of them has a black door; does that signify special service (automobile for example)?
Thanks, Otto K.

Today, I have made a roof out of styrene with 220 grit sandpaper glued to it, and I painted it with Velspar Blindfold. Here is just a test fit, I have added a few more roof supports.

I am also building a partial floor for the center door with roof supports.

Your boxcar on the left with the smaller lettering inside the diamond is what Erie used up till 1941. There could still be some around. Anything built or re-painted after 1941 got the larger font Erie like your boxcar on the right. The yellow diamond was an experiment as far as I can tell in 1945. I have seen a photo or 2 of them in 1947 so that is close enough for me. I have all 4 of the Atlas Erie cars, there is also one with a larger diamond. Forget when that started though.

Just weather the one on the left a little heavier!  :D

Thanks Chris, I just might do that; always looking for appropriate cars to weather the h out of :P

Pensacola Railfest coming up in 9 days-had to rush but it appears that the 'Arbo Canyon' and 'Queenman Canyon' modules will be ready for the SWARMTrak setup! (still have to ballast the endcap and add telephone poles)

Finally got back out to a show with the club on Saturday. Snagged the opportunity to use the sunlight to photograph the cement plant scene I had been working on. I didn't build the structures. I only cleared the original area, repainted the office, put the structures down with epoxy, and did the dirt lot.

Good start ... I would clean up the roof lines some more -- add the final door, and a couple of downspouts on the end corners
