New MTL Huskystack Well Car preview

Howdy.  Just getting fresh parts out of the oven and though I would share a sneak peek of our latest.  The body is die cast with plastic decks, bolster supports and other details.  The decking has thru holes and look pretty cool and this will have body mount couplers and a new truck, the ASF Ride Control.





This should be available around the beginning of 2017.   Also the 48' container is due for release shortly.

I still hope that somebody will make well cars and containers from the early 80s. In my opinion, that is a void that should be filled.

The well car set with heavy bulkheads from Deluxe Innovations has been out of production for a few years now.

Diecast body is an excellent idea. I wonder thought how the molded plastic decking will look next to the photo-etched stainless steel decking (and handrails) used by some other manufacturers.

Nice looking model, do wish it was 5 feet longer like Smike said. Will probably get some to run with 40' in the bottom.

Having just pre-ordered some of the Athearns I'm more interested in the 48' container.  Can't beleive Wathers never bothered to do additional schemes on theirs.  Waiting to see what MT will do.  I will say the car looks good and a die cast body will be superior.  Depending on the decorated look and the schemes released, maybe MT will steal my business.

Thinking the same, and if they do the 3 or 4 unit drawbar cars, I might be selling off the Athearn/MDC cars. Even with weighted containers in the wells, I couldn't get them to run to save my life a few years back on an NTrak layout.
