The do look a tad widely spaced max. Some of the photos with everything blackened look to hide it a bit. I got 24' from the ruler picture and I'm hoping it's a tad less. We will see in about 2 weeks when i get back home and this is waiting for me. If not, i guess it will be sent to the parts bin and used for a 4-12-2 with larger drivers from the 2mm scale association!

Now those are some great pictures! It looks like I'll be able install a motor forward of the worm gear!

Im hoping i can get spare drivers from dapol so i can do something about that blind driver. That should really help the aesthetics a bit.

Why not keep the motor in the tender? You'll get maximum weight in the engine that way. The drive shaft can be replaced with wire quite effectively and it's really not noticeable then.
