Scale Trains containers have arrived

They are available from the manufacturer now:

https://www.scaletrains.com/collections/operator-n-53-corrugated-dry-container
https://www.scaletrains.com/collections/operator-n-53-cimc-reefer-container

I expect they will show up at the dealers shortly.  I just put in my order for 40 cans, with more likely to follow soon. :)

Can I tag a few on your shipment?  $50CDN is minimum shipping...

I paid my invoice for 14 yesterday, and hopefully they won't take too long in the mail. It's a great time for us modern intermodal guys!

What timeframe did these start appearing on Tehachapi?

Ed

NOTE:  These dates refer to the paint schemes on 53' cans.   I believe the CIMC corrugated box dates to about 2006, so if you're not being too particular these could be 'stand-ins' for earlier than 2006 where the paint scheme is appropriate.  These are confirmed dates specific to Tehachapi pass, based on my photo collection.  Some of these companies had trailers in similar or different schemes at earlier dates, I'm ignoring that.  Obviously the fact that I haven't got a tagged photo does not mean that certain schemes haven't been over Tehachapi.    For the most part as you'll see these schemes are supermodern, i.e. post 2010.

Dry:
JB Hunt (no 'Intermodal) - this scheme dates back to the 90s
EMP Green  - 2009
Fedex Multimodal - 2012
JB Hunt 'Intermodal'  - 2011
Marten - no confirmed sightings
Schneider - 2006
Hub Group Green - 2009
COFC logistics - no confirmed sightings (but from other sources, probably appropriate in small numbers for the near present)

Reefer:
CN CargoCool - no confirmed sightings
CR England - 2011
Quiktrax - no confirmed sightings
Tiger Cool Express -  no confirmed sightings
JB Hunt Intermodal 'How cool is that?' - no confirmed sightings
Axsun - no confirmed sightings (but Axsun non-reefer from 2012)
Canadian Pacific Reefer - no confirmed sightings
HR Transport - no confirmed sightings
TransX - no confirmed sightings
NFI Roadrail - 2011
Armour - no confirmed sightings
Coldtrain Intermodal - no confirmed sightings
White Arrow - no confirmed sightings

I caught 53' Dry cans of Marten, Matson, Axsun, CH Robinson and COFC on Tehachapi in 2014.

Still looking at the reefers....

Whoever makes those ones first should make some money.   MT already did the Axsun dry can.

Thanks JB for the detailed info.  My loop will date 2003-2012 so I can fit some of these in.

If the quality of these cans is even close to that of the semi tractors I'm in for a few. Would be nice if you could mix and match a 3 pack. :D

The two UPS trucks I stole yesterday ($11.65 each) have convinced me of the quality of Scale Trains products.Only problem now is I now have to buy trailers to go with them.

Yup, guess I just had the trucks on my mind and not the company that made them.Would still like to mix-n-match a three pack of the containers though. :D
