Weekend Update 8/21/16

The Great Ape was kind enough to send me a flock of Model Power cabeese and six sets of Micro-Trains caboose hand rails. These cars are a little rough from the factory due to the handrails and roofwalk, but are decent models of a SP C-40-6.

I have an order in for all appropriate roof parts.

Over the last few days I have been filling the holes in the roof of the six Model Power bay window cabeese. I used the mounting pins for the roof walks, and filled with contour putty. I used a pair of hobby knives to trim the mounting holes and make them flush.

When you realize that with your new closer focus to prototype, you have 200 cars that need lube labels and ACI tags.

Yes most of the Southern cars need numbers. The decal set does not have enough numbers to do more than two cars with correct numbers. I am going to have to find out if there are numeral sets in the right font.

Specter3:  If all else fails, put the numbers on a black background, scan them at the highest possible resolution, then make your own decals from the image file.  By copying and pasting you should be able to make the graphics for as many numbers as you like, and get the exact numbers you need, as well as extras for future cars.

Trestle is now ready to be installed. (The layout isn't ready - but - the trestle is - LOL) The F units are for perspective. It is 24" long and about 3" tall. Made from Evergreen styrene.

Went back to Icicle Performing Arts Center (Leavenworth, WA) and natural area and got a box full of these "unknown" dead
flowers from a bush that closely resemble Super Trees.
