Is this in jest or will there really be a sale starting Monday for some N scale items?

I was hoping that this sale would be something significant or of some backshelf models that have not been available for a while.....looks like the first sale is Metra F40PHs in both scales for basically list price and a free coach.

http://www.katousa.com/Zcart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=169

Looks like the both items in HO are available for 140 elsewhere online and the N scale combo is available for 110. meh. :P

I hope around the same time my money comes in... would be nice to get a Budd RDC4 to convert into the Krautkramer Ultrasonics car.  Built for Minneapolis & St. Louis as a express - mail - coach with a very, very small coach section (17 seats) the car went on to see use on Chesapeake & Ohio in Kentucky branchline service before being sold to Krautkramer and shipped to Boston.  Unfortunately the car never was finished and ended up being scrapped along with an RDC2 that was also acquired.  The car was intended to be like a Sperry Rail Car, performing the same sort of testing.  Would be something I think that could be great to freelance for my 1949 era lines... if I can secure a RDC4 on the cheap...

One can only hope...

You somehow missed several fire sales on RDC's few years ago?  They were going for like $39 each!  I stocked up but I didn't get RDC4s.

I think that Kato is finally all out of them.

Do you still have the RDC4 frame and trucks? I think KATO still has shells and lots of spare parts for RDC4s. If you need engine blisters, window sets for both 1 and 4, end marker lenses, end doors, or some other stuff I have tons laying around not needed. You can have them for postage.  Send a PM if interested.

I think that Kato is finally all out of them.

Those were all sold to a distributor out east several years ago which in turn flooded the market with cheap RDC's for a long time.

Except for parts, Kato has been out of RDC's for several years.

Enjoy!
