Will you be posting an update once said email has gone out? Just want to make sure that I don't accidentally loose it if it goes to my spam folder and ends up a victim of my daily spam dump.

Email arrived few days ago and I don't see your name on the list.

Josh posted the following in the parallel photo thread:

I read the directions above but...as you can already see, it will be tough for people to NOT post "oos and ahhs" and comment about the pictures that will be posted here.
Additionally, it's helpful to comment on this post so I can see when it is updated instead of having to remember to check it.

It makes sense that the photo thread (as intended) contains *ONLY* photos of the train's journey and *ONLY* commends from the person who posted the photos.  As far as the these OT comments go, I would hope that the moderates will delete them.  Right?  I as going to post this reply there but that is why we have this admin thread.

I'm also not sure what you mean in your last sentence. When the photo thread is updated documenting the latest stage of the train's journey you can easily tell because it will show up as having new contents. What other updates do you want to see which will help you remembering to check it?  :?  There is no need to check it unless there is an update from the latest train's visit.

Like I said, hopefully moderators will delete this last few posts and any other unwanted posts in the future.

Those instructions couldn't be much clearer and people still do whatever they please.  Like trying to heard  cats.
This thread is strictly for photographs taken during the train's tour of North America, and accompanying narratives.  Please start your posts with the date and location ie.  July 21, 2016 - Vancouver, B.C.

When I check TRW, I check "show replies to your posts" before I do anything. It helps me keep tabs on the stuff I am following. It's just my browsing habit and that's what I meant in my last sentence. I don't read every thread every day.
I mean, it's gonna happen. People WILL post there. Not posting goes against the nature of the boards. It's probably not even a big deal anyways. The admins can clean things up anyways. We've got #sitecore Ed making sure the hamsters keep running!
BTW someone downvoted this, it wasn't me. I upvoted to bring balance back to the Force.

I conferred with Tim and we both agree that comments in the photo thread are welcome.  We've clarified the OP to reflect this.

Methinks we may be overthinking this a bit. Have fun in the photo thread, ask boring procedural questions here.

Hi Cody:

Just back from a trip; it seems your info has been dropped which is strange as I recall you sending it to me.  Please re-send the requested details via PM and I will get you reinstated ASAP.

Apologies,

In my absence it appears that there has been some confusion with regard to my instructions for the two threads.  I did not intend to discourage comments about the journey in the Photo Thread; I was just trying to follow Eric's suggestion of splitting up the journey and the business behind running it.  You are welcome to post feedback on the photo posts.

Apologies for any confusion,

Tim

Hey guys!

I was curious if it wasn't too late to jump on the list as a host.

Just had a thought, not knowing the schedule of the train.  If the train is anywhere near the N Scale Weekend in Altoona (Aug 20-21), maybe the person in charge could bring it and have it run on the layouts there.   :)
