When does Rapido expect to send them out to us.
Received Jason's latest newsletter and he states that shipment of the gondolas (those that are sold) will start next week!!!
Some lucky dogs (or should I say, asshats) will soon have them in hand and I look forward to seeing them.
Now for the rest of us (yes, I am included) there are still around 150 cars left so there is time to get money up to buy one or more. Keep in mind that its going towards funding Puddy's son's education so it is a very, very important thing to consider. So far over $12,000 has been set aside for Sam and I am sure that there will be some who would want it because it will be a nearly forever way to remember our dear friend... God knows it still brings a tear to my eyes when I think about his passing and do hope that at least one can be mine very, very soon so a shipment of aluminum ingots can be sent north (one of my freelanced shortlines services the former Carolina Aluminum plant, making such a shipment a natural).

For any who are curious about what a shipment of aluminum ingots looks like the link below is to a video showing an R.J. Corman train hauling these unusual loads. Heck, I won't even need a lid on the gondola since the weather doesn't affect them...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMPWeOAmiRE
