Indeed:

That is goofy looking!
Wonder if a Z scale tank car would be a good stand in?

Better make the tank out of solid lead or car will be way too light.

Nscaler711:  I've seen that picture before, and suggested the same thing.  The "dome" and platform from an old Atlas chemical tank, and a pair of standard gauge trucks, should make a MT Z tankcar look quite similar.

Those saddles and mounts will take some special attention too.

I would have to get that Air Products car in N scale.  My father in law was a plant manager and later a cooperate officer at Air Products and Chemicals. I'm sure the wife would let me have that one.  :)

How I explain it on a western centric railroad is another issue.

Bromine is more than 3 times as dense as water, hence the small size. Car is still a lot bigger than it needs to be, though. 60,000 lbs of bromine is only 2264 gallons. The rest of the weight and interior space is taken up by the lead lining, because the only property of bromine that compares to its toxicity is how frigging corrosive it is...

BLI would certainly get my attention if they did this in N. And with no rivets or doors, it might not be half bad apart from the wheels.  :)

I think TrainCat was looking at a production too before things went south.  I miss him, not too mention his products, and hope all is getting better for him and his family.
