Keystone Details announces PRR Step/Coupler Pocket 4 pack for Lima and Model Power P70 Passenger car shells!

Steps mount to the underside of the Lima or Model Power passenger cars with some minor material removal and it provides a coupler pocket to snap in a 1015/1016 coupler (trip pin must be removed firs)t.  The step/coupler assembly can withstand a 3lb load (coupler hook deflects before step pocket).  Screw holes are provided for 00-90 screws as well.

Caution: Steps will not work with OEM three axle trucks.

The 4 pack can be ordered at:

These are spiffy!   Please consider making a similar part for Rivarossi (ConCor, Atlas)  heavyweights!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

It looks like 16mm.  Measured with a steel ruler, as my calipers are packed away right now.

If you seriously are willing to pursue this, I can provide a sample car for you to examine - send me a PM.

An accurate measurement and a picture of the underside on the end would be all I need from @nickelplate759 or @Ike the BN Freak .

Remember it is likely that these will not work with a three axle truck.  The swing clearance just isn't there as mentioned in the original post.

Sorry John, I meant to imply that sets of steps for these six wheel cars are needed too. My passengers are stranded...

I think that getting the actual Rivarossi car to John would guarantee the best fit and appearance.  I also have one of those cars I could send to John.

Not if you can't get them to print right.  There is some discussion already pointing this out in the New Shapeways Material thread.

This.  I am not moving to that material till I get my sample back. This part will not look good in the thicknesses that are required for that material.
