Who Made VERY Large Brewery Kit in N Scale?

I'm trying to find a very large brewery kit in N scale, but I can't remember who made it. It is supposedly their HO kit but with N scale doors for use in N scale.

The Heljan brewery was actually H0 scale kit with some smaller door moldings added to the kit.  The bricks were way oversize (IIRC, they were even too large for H0 scale).

This one started life as the Con-Cor/ Heljan Brewery that I purchased when it came out in the late 1970's.



For you Railwire Oldtimers, that's a VARR hopper going in to dump its load.  It was a custom run done by one of the early RW members.

Too big even for that - plus wrong style architecture for concrete block construction. You can see the individual bricks from about 8-10 feet away. It is really distracting.

What I did was use Squadron Green troweled over each entire wall face to fill in the huge gaps between "bricks". Basically use a putty knife (of piece of flat-edged metal or styrene) run across the wall face to get the putty into the cracks. Some of the gaps will not fill completely but leave shallow depressions which, when painted, give the illusion of a close to normal sized brick surface.

Good Morning,

I came across the Heljan Brewery kit a few years ago, and I didn't like how it stood alone as a brewery complex.  I did some research, and I came across this layout www.shadycreek.info.  It gave me a few ideas, and I decided to pick up the Walthers Superior Mill kit.  I use the kraft mill as the brewhouse and the other structure as the warehouse.  I utilize 2 of the 3 buildings from the Heljan Brewery as the main brewery building.  I'm using the ADM Grain Elevator, but I'm torn as to whether it's too big for brewery this size.  I think there a lot of possibilities if you use the Heljan or other kits for a start for your brewery.

As said earlier, the Heljan kit is an HO kit with smaller doors and other components to make it kinda suitable as N scale. This results in an compromise - the brick work is way too large (especially the mortar joints) but in a style that it can't be accepted as cinderblock.
