That's really good!  I blew up the photo and wow... the tiny text along the edges is very straight and neat.

Off topic, but..
When a large-format picture is posted in here, how can we click on it to pop it open full-size?  It used to do that.
But now, then I click on a large photo, it pops into a smaller view of the photo that is not scrollable or stretchable.

I had to "Save As" to my machine and then open it in a photo editor to see this photo full size.

You could always right click and open image in new tab, if you're a Chrome user.

Thanks! Ed loaned me his Digital RebelXT 350D. This was my first shot. I had to color balance it in PS.

Yes, right-click, "View Image" works too.  Thanks.   I can conveniently view it in all its blazing glory now.

I took some additional photos of these tonight.







The lighting could have been better. I'll work on that next time. @Ed Kapuscinski let me borrow his old camera and I'm still tinkering around a bit.

So, For as much pain and suffering the FD2 brought me, the FW1 brought me immense pleasure.
Now, if you guys know me, you know I don't half a$$ anything. I go full donkey. I'm obsessed with "biggest" and "most powerful" and "most unique" kinds of things. These flat cars are as full donkey as you can get on the PRR.
I never thought we'd get an FD2 in N scale. Ever. Then we got one. And now, @Lemosteam, out of the kindness of his Tuscan Red heart, sketched up the FW1 for me and made it happen. He's a maniac and apparently has 4 patents to his name! He's the real deal. Buy his stuff.
I'm thankful for the people I've met here on TRW. Quality modelers who are quality people. I effing love you asshats.

So, I was able to pound some lead and shape it in to smaller pieces. I put 7 grams of lead in the load and 3.5 grams over EACH end of the car.

There were considerable FUD Fuzzies that I sanded down and scraped. I put a few coats of Future on there to help level the surface. I wouldn't recommend it again as there's probably better stuff out there.

Yes, I ordered a set of F22 and F23s in both in FUD and FXD. Oddly enough, I couldn't tell which was which. I think it had to do with orientation.
