Your 2015 Product of the Year

I could use more Amfleet II coaches in Phase III paint!  Oh, and while they're at it, some Heritage Fleet cars in Phase III, too!  I need to build some Florida trains.

That too.  Kato has additional bodystyles that have yet to be released in Phase I, not to mention they could re-issue the bodystyles they've released previously with new numbers/car-names.

I voted for the two Kato passenger sets. I don't like to buy a car here and a car there and hope somebody releases a certain car to complete a passenger train.
I also voted for the Trainworx trailers. I've bought a few of the 40' models and a bunch of the 28' UPS trailers. Once the 53 footers hit I'll really be in trouble. And once again, a complete product. The tractor and the trailer available as a complete set.

How about Kato ACS-64?  Not modern enough for you? Or Kato Amfleet I cars (which are not itemized though)?  The UPS trailers are also current, aren't they?

I also consider the FEF a modern engine. Certainly the 7 car excursion set is painted as modern as it comes.

As Peter and Neville mentioned, the Trainworx movie and television trucks really should be in the running.  After all, the models won the very first Excellence 'N' Innovation Award presented by the N Scale Vehicle Association.

I would have to vote for the Atlas S2, since people have been asking for a replacement for the Arnold model since I can remember and the Atlas model is well done.

As a steam guy, yes to the Kato FEF and the Bachmann K4.

For my third, I give a tip of the hat to Model Power and their release of the 4-6-2- Pacific w/ sound.  Not my first choice in part as it is an old casting (but with some notable advancements), and the they missed an opportunity to upgrade the tender pickup to axle point contacts instead keeping axle wipers.  But they get my vote in part as it seemed from the outside to be touch and go if MRC would support the re-release of MP steamers.   Glad to see them back!

My list is biased to items I have purchased (or will in the case of #3):

1. FEF-3, because it's an amazing piece of steam loco engineering.
2. BLMA 60' beer car, because it sets a high standard for freight car detailing, especially the (visible) under-frame and draft gear detail.
3. Trainworx truck cabs, because they set a phenomenal standard of detail for a vehicle.

I'm already putting the Trainworx 53' (UPS & FedEx) trailers in my top 3 for 2016. If they slip off that list, it will have been a very good year.

I really want to vote for "single window coach" for 2016.   At this point, I would take some in resin, since I would probably end up painting anyway.

The Trainworx trucks are works of art, but several decades out of my timeframe.  How about a nice late 40s Studebaker or an early 50s Peterbuilt at that level of detail?

Pat really took a chance on developing all of the new tooling required for these trucks, so I really hope it will pay off for him.
