Irony

Took the Metro into the office today and on the walk from station to DOL I spied a bus with a billboard ad plastered across it for FreightRailWorks.com.  The image featured the front third of a modern GE-ish loco in, funnily, Conrail blue.

Actually, unless you saw logos, it's probably the generic blue loco that they're using in some of their other ads.

Sounds more like coincidence than irony.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

No, no can openers but, really, Conrail blue wasn't generic?  Cobalt was big in the 80s and 90s, everywhere.

There were people working on the railroads yesterday and today. I have to work tomorrow through Wednesday. Railroads are 24/7 365, we even have people working Christmas, New Years, Fourth of July, etc.  :D

No, more like ray-ee-ain on your wedding day or a black fly in your chardonnay.

It's the good advice that she just didn't take.

Who would have thought it figures?

I'm not going to argue whether that is ironic. See http://theoatmeal.com/comics/irony . Even Alanis is quoted there.  :)
