BNSF Airslides in boxcar red (and filled with sand) are the most common buffer cars on crude oil trains (which BLMA will be offering)

We need a run of these from Bowser....

Totally agree. Wouldn't buy a set for myself, but they ARE really common on the modern scene.

Yep, I've seen a number of BNSF Airslides on the oil trains here in Delaware.  I've also seen a bunch of old N&W covered hoppers, for example:

Cool catches!

I always wonder how wise it is to use these rust buckets in connection with such a
high value, sensitive shipment....

The new Tangent release of these in HO looks pretty sweet....

Absolutely agree!  David just ran these in HO for the upcoming ScaleTrains release of the Trinity 31K oil can..

I'd love to see a retooling of these cars, especially the early version, that has the same quality as the Athearn 2600.  The Bowser model is so clunky by today's standards.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Agree....  I might just pick up a pair of undecs and do some custom decals for now though.
