For those who have ordered previous models, here is a picture of the corrected dome on the Bachmann shell:

Replacements will be shipped out this weekend, and I thank all buyers for their patience!

The redesigned models are now up for sale to the public again!

What a nice dome!

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

What a nice dome!

That colour is spot on, which leads to the obligatory question, what brand of paint did you use? And the fit, ooh la la!

Vallejo black primer.  But keep in mind that the boiler is weathered so I wasn't aiming to match, well, anything really.

This just in:

The Keystone Details sand dome will fit the Minitrix K4 locomotive shell!  Not sure why I never tried it before.

4 easy steps:

1: snip off existing dome from each side with Xuron clippers this will leave an opening atop the shell
2: shave down old dome flange.
3: drill or use a knife to create two notches in the center of the resultant opening as shown below
4: mate the two pins on the KD dome and glue in place!

So we can expect to see your LIRR bash with the new dome?
