wire baskets for automobile parts

one side of my layout is going to be davidson rubber in farmington nh on  the BM during the mid 70's early 80's, this plant made bumpers,car interior parts etc for the automobile industry. these parts were placed in wire  baskets then loaded in boxcars , and the empty ones were stored outside so how do you make these in ho scale?

You can use aluminum window screen. I remember those baskets, the ones I saw were on wheels, and the wire was more vertical rectangle than round, but I've never seen that kind of screen.
