Scenicruiser in Shapeways FXD - I'm stunned at how good it looks

Yeah, I'm definitely pleased.  I submitted my TDM4507 bus last night.  I'm really eager to see how that one comes out.  Much easier paint job without the fluted stainless panels to worry about.

The White Towers are still available made-to-order, and the resolution is the same as Shapeways FXD.  What I could do is upload the STL to Shapeways and see what the cost differential would be.  It certainly would be much easier for me to have the product available through Shapeways than through the current process.

The PD4501 Scenicruiser or any GM bus won't be going up for sale through ESM because 1) they have to be licensed through GM and 2) CMW currently holds the HO and N license for the Scenicruiser.  Given that the CMW owners are N scale modelers, an N scale Scenicruiser will appear as soon as they figure out how to make the ROI reasonable.

ESM has a Shapeways store, but the buses can't be sold through there because of license issues.  I can activate the store option on my personal Shapeways account and then turn on the two buses.  I'm waiting for the second bus to arrive before I do that.

I hadn't given any thoughts to decals on a mass scale.  I do have artwork drawn for the original scheme that I was going to output for myself.  The other schemes I hadn't considered since they are too late for my era.

I would be interested in Decals to go along with the bus. A PDF I can print on laser decal film maybe?

The original scheme is only possible on an Alps to print the white background of the dog. Later schemes probably can be printed on a color laser or inkjet.

I've made two GM buses available in my personal Shapeways store for those interested, same name as my handle here — the PD4501 Scenicruiser and the TDM4507 intercity, in both N and Z.
