Sweet! A Civil War F unit!

All joking aside, those SP SW1500s look absolutely awesome. Not for me, but I'm excited on behalf of SP modelers everywhere.

In other news, does anyone know when, in the Reading 1500s are due up? I need to plan ahead for those.

I ordered 6 CP baggage.
Does anyone know what I can use to renumber the cars?

The printing is still pretty fresh, you can use Colman Camp Fuel and a Qtip to wipe them off.  It may take a few passes, use the fuel sparingly.  it won't affect the paint other than leave a shiny spot where you rubbed.  You will need to clear coat for the decals anyway...follow with another gloss coat and then the flat for best finish.  I assume you can get numbers from Micro Scale Decals?

They could do one side for Union and one side for the Confederacy if they wanted. A deliberate misprint if you will.

The windmill set is interesting.   Love the SP switchers too.

.

Does that method only work with fresh lettering? What steps do you take in doing this?

Ed,

They were announced as in stock on April 21st at BLW  http://www.blwnscale.com/mt-sw1500.htm#rdg

However, no sign of them at MBKlein's so I don't know. Maybe Pete or his web guy goofed?  Or Klein's got sent to Germany 5 times? https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=36005.0

Availability at www.micro-trainsline.com is listed as "Contact Dealer" making it seem like they've been shipped.   http://micro-trainsline.com/nscale/nlocomotives

Yeah, how'd you miss that? They are still in stock at BLW, tho I think you missed the boat on any ConRail ones....

Ordered my CP Baggage car...  :)

One question... Is there anywhere I can get a harriman style roof? or any ideas on modeling one? Everything else I can live with but it is the main discrepancy...
