No... Jason actually ordered the crossing for his son's layout in HO and got an N scale one instead...... no hidden message other than he "messed up" ordering..... I can tell you that there is no N scale LRC locomotive planned by us..... no "math" that supports the project.... now coaches may, some day, be a different story...."Rapido Mike"
If you guys do an n-scale RDC, I will commit to buying one. My first and only (North American) passenger equipment.

I would second that one. I think part of the problem kato had is they missed the boat on roadnames, and I suspect they over produced them...
Kato totally missed the boat on roadnames.
Still wondering why no VIA or CN noodle RDC's were ever done by Kato, both huge users with wide (geographic) appeal. It's like, ffs, really?
Kato had planned to have a bunch of road names in the second run. However, they messed up the planning/production on the first one and, from what I understand, took a bath on them, so they've never gone back to the well.It seems dumb, that they should better amortize the tooling, but Kato is what Kato is...
I think that we have to give Kato the benefit of the doubt; they do know how to run their business and it has been successful for some time. Their release schedule and methods may confound the modeller in us but they are where they are in the model train world for good reason...... I can't say why they haven't re-released the RDC; but I am sure they have their reasons.
