None here either...   I doubt I would pre-order anything again.  Frankly wondering why pre-ordered this.


[Clarification:  talking about pre-ordering,  not BLW, whom I've used with no issues for 25 years!]

Don't get me wrong I pre order almost everything through Pete at BLW and have always been very satisfied!  I have no qualms waiting as I know he will get packages out as fast as possible.  It is always more fun to be the kid with the new toy on the block first but after 30 days no one remembers who got theirs first!

Mine came today , I bet in bright sunlight it will look less cheese doodle . I thought , comes to mind though , no stirrups on any passenger cars ? Got to look at that video again .

Wonder if Kato is going to make a stirrup dress-up kit , I could live with being saddled its extra cost . I wonder how many rowels that would be and be worth it . I wouldn't want them etched with a flimsy .010 , .020 hard brass would be my liking . The unobstructed profile clear to the coupler is an eyesore .

Still it is really nice to have this unique set of cars and it will sell like hotcakes .

Kato has never had stirrups on their passenger cars, save for the ones built in to the cars that have skirts....
Gold Medal Models, and M&R sides, among others, make a detail sets specifically for Kato cars...I use them and their generic hand grabs to dress up almost all of my cars...USPS says mine from BLW should be delivered tomorrow (Monday)...I don't give a rat's patooty who gets theirs first, second, or third...as long as I receive one, I'm pleased and grateful.

Once I got my  set I pulled out the coach from the box and replaced it with a coach from the COLA set. With the replacement car in the box I could see no difference in the yellow from the other cars. The only difference you eventually notice is the window gaskets on the excursion cars are black not silver like the COLA's.
So if you wanted to match COLA coaches/dome coaches to add to your business train you'd have to buy new trucks (or paint them silver), modern diaphragms and new glass sets for each COLA car. Or probably wait for single excursion cars to show up on eBay, since they might be cheaper than the COLA car plus upgrades to match would cost.
But either way you'd need to buy the MicroScale decal set with the other business/excursion car names for the extra car.
