It had better not have that damned lighted interiour... I've got grievances up the wazoo from my N scale Conductors regarding blindness. They could give most quasars a run for their money. I love the PSC Vans and have a poop load of them, other than near constant issues with the couplers failing to couple at speeds below that which earns a hogger serious demerits, the truck are pretty much garbage thanks to the electrical pick up. I can live with the couplers, but those trucks? Everything wrong with them is on account of the lighted interiour.

The lighting is too gimmicky for N scale... it's more of an HO or Lionel thing.

Ah now; it's not as bright as a quasar.....maybe a dwarf star...maybe.................... (Ya, that was a HO to N learning curve..... I just missed out being part of that decision, wasn't here yet... just use a Sharpie and dull the solar flare (I mean LED) down... allows you to "colourize" your van too... warm green, Madonna Pink... you know.....)

The trucks aren't the problem; we know what the "problem" is and we're a couple of weeks way from making the solution available from Jeff to you folks.... and you'll get a laugh when you see just how "duh" it is....

I'm not seeing the point in trying to guess what's in the center of the tooling image. To me it looks like something that was left over from an aborted project, or tooling that was junked, and the space around it is being re-purposed for the "real" project, which clearly is an underbody and a roofwalk. The feature in the center portion of the tooling now has a hole bored through part of it and sprues cut through much of the rest, so I'm not seeing how it can possibly work. And even if it was some sort of roof, to my eye it looks considerably wider than the underbody, suggesting they don't really belong together.

Then again, I might be totally wrong... I often am...

Hard to fathom, I know, but there are these crazy folks who choose to model the CPR. The significance of the Angus Van is for those noble souls modeling the TH&B and ONT, but those CP guys, Puddites in the common tounge, benefit by chance

Dude: We're far, far more advanced than a simple pencil.... we're now specifying the lead vs graphite content...... ... Wait for it Mike.....

and as a CP modeller, here's the only "Van" you need.....



Modern vans... oh pish posh....... (then again, rolling lemons might just sell...hmmmm....?)

I see a big hole in the middle of the tool .. not a good place to pour resin

The factory is in N scale GMD-1 production mode so expect these to hit pur shores in January.

(I get a kick out of seeing HO modellers complain about N scalers getting something before them... see the comments on the "stripe" versions (1400 series and 1600 series)....

I've no idea, but I do have a question.  It appears to me that someone bored a big hole right through what appears to be the mold for some kind of roof.   I'm curious as to why.

Looks like Injection port.. (and the location does not appear to be a part...)

What we don't see is the opposite side of the mold which has an equal am mount of detail.. (and likely no ports)

All things being equal the N scale GMD-1 will be on North American shores and in our warehouse within two weeks, if not sooner. That means they will hit distributors and LHS's before the end of the month...

If I can find one with a dialysis clinic I, of course, will be sitting on a 23rd storey ledge with a cigarette and blindfold waiting for the reaction............

Being an N scale loco manufacturer these days has got to be right up there with air traffic controller on the old stress-o-meter.

That said, I'm sure nobody while find anything to complain about with these.
