Being a CP guy, Pud owes us a CP Angus Van in N scale. I'm not sure that's the van though... didn't they do some old wood refer in HO?

I had not seen any passenger car updates on any of your other media outlets so I figured I would ask here and I did not feel like starting another thread.  At least here I am only getting yelled at for one post, not have an entire thread yelling at me.

Could it be a steam car for passenger trains.  Jason told me, once upon a time, that they would follow in N scale the ones produced in HO.

I'm a little confused on these as I saw one now resides in Portland on the  OPR, Oregon, Pacific RR.

They list this on their excellent website.

In August 2010, the OPR purchased the No. 1413.  The OPR let go of two locomotives as part of the purchase of this engine; EMD SW-8 No. 602 (former
OP&E 602) and OPR No. 803 (former T&NO No. 13). Both of these locomotives were shipped to Western Rail in Washington State as part of the deal.

The 1413 was originally built in 1959 as CN No. 1045, with A1A flexicoil trucks and a 1200 h.p. 12-567-C.  It was completely rebuilt around 1989 by the CN at
their Pointe St. Charles Shops in Montreal.   Among the many modifications and upgrades, the 1000 gallon fuel tank was exchanged for a 2000 gallon custom
unit,  BB flexicoil trucks that came off a retired GP9 replaced the A1A style trucks, and an EMD 12-645C / D15C diesel engine/generator combo replaced the
original 12-567 unit.   It was also converted to a newer EMD control stand with 26L air.   The 1413 was last overhauled in 2005.  GMD/CN builder number was 
1989.   Essentially rebuilt to EMD SW1500 specifications, the No. 1413 was detuned back to its original 1200 h.p. due to generator limitations.

We will be offering undecorated units. There are more than a few of these beasties around in short line service and working mills and grain facilities. I can't say if a truck swap would work on this locomotive but based on the talent here I'm sure someone could engineer it....

I wonder, Pud do you guys use soft or hard tooling?

While we have experimented with aluminium in the past we use steel tooling for virtually all products.

Middle part looks like the start of roof hatch tooling, but it is interesting that it appears to be tooled with the angle of the roof built in?

Top is a 37' General American wood reefer underbody and bottom is the wood running board.

Just be sure to make the roof hatches work. The reason I don't buy any other wood reefers except MT and Atlas is because their reefers have working hatches. Personally, I prefer Atlas hatches because of the finer detail.

I tend to agree Bryan; some of the opening hatch cars I have look oddly bulky because if what is needed to make a hatch open.... just my personal opinion... For what it's worth; were this an N scale meat reefer the hatches wouldn't normally be open when the car was running. Meat reefers didn't run with hatches open like some fruit cars did.... but I am in no way saying this is a meat reefer.......... I'm not saying what this is; it might be an N scale version of NCC1701/1... after all, we work for Jason............
