Deco Question for Atlas on GP40 New Run

The PC 3171 is shown with a red "C"  - I believe this should be an orange "C"....  It's hard to tell but they look like white handrail ends, which usually were yellow....

Thats what I was thinking the orange C appeared only on a few GP40's, I have an undec GP40 and PC decals to do one, I might still by one of the PC's but would have for sure if they did the orange C, then I could have used my undec GP40 for a B&O or Chessie unit.

A list of orange C units is here http://forums.railfan.net/forums.cgi?board=PennCentral;action=display;num=1373563605 and 3172 is listed, so Atlas should be doing the orange.

That number IS one of the Orange "C" units for sure...    I have heard that this had something to do with the New Haven but I doubt it since these were delivered months before NH "joined" the PC party.

Could well be that the plan is to do Orange and the graphic is just incorrect, but I want to be sure since this is not the same color as the early Red "P" units...

No, just orange "C"'s on this particular set of GP40's....

For all I know they are well aware of this, but the artwork sure looks red to me.
