+1 regarding cushion underframe parts!  So many uses for tricking out older models.

So regarding the roofs, are there obvious cars that would benefit from these?   In other words, previously released boxcars that have the wrong roofs of them that could use upgrading. (aka "low hanging fruit")   I do *get it* that many n-scale roofs are not removable and thus would require some not-insignificant surgery to replace.   But, if I can make a better car for $2.75 plus a little paint and elbow grease, I'll put it on the project list.

I too have relaxed my stance on Exactrail.  Still don't like that they "used" the dealers to build their customer base and the left them hung out to dry.   But, I'm learning more and more these days that most companies simply dare you to go elsewhere and sometimes you just cannot take them up on that offer for various reasons, as much as you'd like to.   I'll buy, but I'll never view them as stewards of their industry or upstanding members of our great hobby like I do Atlas, Intermountain, and some others.   They're simply a supplier of goods that I won't be devastated about if they go.

The ExactRail waffle-side box car.  When those originally shipped, they came with an incorrect roof.  After this mistake was pointed out, ER tooled this new roof and offered free replacements to people who purchased the cars.  Now they are listing them as parts.

The corrected (Pullman) roof for the waffle box has been available for a long time.  The diagonal and x-panel are new additions.

Good point.  I wasn't paying close attention.  One additional note: the N roofs are $10.95, the HO ones are $6.95.  At that price I'm afraid I will not be stocking up.
