Finally after many trips past this Caboose we finally stopped to take some pictures.
As far as I know they only use it a short distance up to a mine in Socorro New Mexico.

There are a bunch of those roaming all over the BNSF system, most are not decorated so heavily.

Here is another variation on the shoving platform used by BNSF:

That would make a cool etched brass conversion kit !!!!!

From my Model Railroad Forum  post:
They are called "shoving" not "riding" platforms. We used a wide vision one also to shove up the Olive Sub from Irvine CA about 15 miles. BNSF even has one that's nothing but a flat car like jpwise one . And think someone miss numbered it 99"0"753 because of the graffiti. When they were Santa Fe they were all 999___.

That graffiti is pretty sick (as in awesome); did BNSF allow artists in to do that or has it just accumulated the graffiti over being parked in the same area for so long?

Guess that gang banger "craphitti" is going international. A US modeler in the UK says it's there also. Hate to even see it modeled. YUK!

It has been tagged numerous times while it has lived there for years.

Pretty cool.  You can see it sitting on the track near the mainline on Google Earth.

If you don't like graffiti, you should not click this link

I'm fine with graffiti on UP, just not on my beloved Santa Fe.   ;)

Most of you have seen this in progress but here is a short video I put together for comparison of the real thing and the model.
