New BLMA Bx-166's - ATSF Shock Control!

Hey Everyone:

Let's take a walk down memory lane, and imagine a time when freight cars weren't painted a single color and with hardly any notice of railroad or style. Introducing the Second Run of our HO & N Scale Bx-166, 60' Double-Door Box Cars, with the classic 'Shock Control' paint scheme by the Santa Fe. Coming in two paint variations - 12 numbers of each - these are perfect for you mid-70's+ modelers.

Thanks for looking!

I'm in for one of the Supers.  Nice to see that the second run will be out this year.

Any in the early scheme?   I would think at least a few made it to 1996.   I have a ton of links to proto photos in one of the early announcement threads, but they're all the spartan schemes.

EDIT: Dug up the link to that earlier thread for the spartan cars...

The latest photo I could find is from 1992:

Ok, now I'm in.

Was this scheme still common in 85, or should I just get a single representative and wait for a future later variation?

You should get them all, from both runs... add bacon too.

Thanks Gary....saves me some money!   :P    (I was likely not going to buy any of this round anyway...I got some from the first round on order and will buy some BNSF's for sure.)

I have to save my funds for the 48ft spines...    :)
