Check the ARMN reefers at the front of this UP train in Caldwell, ID. I guess the taggers need more room for their work   :D

Watch the second or third train to see what might make companies relocate the reporting marks?

Looks like BMLA has a new variation of these cars to run.

Seems logical.  But it still ain't gonna help if they get hit by the 'RAILHEADS'.  (look at 2:12 in the video)

There are a number of carriers / owners doing that with their car numbers and reporting marks on their equipment now (AOK comes to mind). It's a unfortunate reality thrust upon them by vandals.

This is really scary.  I was just getting ready to find a picture of one of these cars and post the exact same question.  I seen a manifest today heading north out of Enola, PA with a few of these cars.
