Hellgate models B60b kit

The under frame that came with my kit has as slight upward bow in the middle of it.
 Any fixes???

If it is a uniform bow (so the whole underframe is kind of shaped like a very gentle letter "U"),
try placing it over a piece of pipe or rod, gently applying heat from a blow dryer, and pressing the two ends downward to correct the bow.

Easy does it, and check often until it looks straight.

You may also like to put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then straighten out the curve.

Both are good suggestions but you can always contact HellGate and they will send you a new one (if they still have it in stock).  They replaced one for me.

Hot water works too. Hold it under the tap for a few minutes, place it on a flat surface, put some quarters on top to hold it down. Leave it for an hour or two.

I agree with Bob try and get a new frame .Even if you get it strait latter it may return to bowed and spoil your work.

Does any vendor make these angled end grabs for the B60b? Having a hard time trying to get that real sharp angle.

You could try to partially cut through the wire with cutters, effectively crushing it at a point and using that for a bend crease and then sand off any resulting burrs.

I would try bending the wire over a really thin piece of brass strip, or even the edge of an Xacto blade.

After being frustrated last night, I though of some kind of jig, using piano wire "pegs" in a board at desired spots. Got the caliper out to mark board.
 Bough the piano wire a few years ago for turnout throwbars. Small diameter, but strong.

What I did for a Hellgate BM70k was to superglue a piece of brass bar then clamp it .

When I get around to putting my kits to-gether I will be having an etch drawn and done in phosphor bronze. Only way to do fine handrails without a lot of frustration.
