Thanks Zox. An interesting approach. I'll have to give that a try. I tried brushing weldene before and it is difficult for large surfaces due to evaporation and left pock-marks at other times when I applied too much.

Best wishes, Dave

Mike -
I don't know if it's too far along in the process of tooling, but that chain link on the pass through stanchions is pretty danged large, IMO.   :o

The links are almost as large in diameter as the nearby ditch lights or even the headlight.

Love the pics of "the module" ;) ;) :D

I really wish SP had a few of those units as they would have looked really cool with SP paint and lighting.

Might have to see what one would have looked like at some point as a "what could have been" project.

I know; they are designed to be about the same size as other's I've seen and measured yet they look outside the norm.........will investigate further.  :? :? :? :?

Great to see "Puddy" again. Do you remember how many folks ended up on the "decoration" of that famed boxcar?

Well the car visited 81 layouts we know of but how many hosts "made their mark" I really don't know.... Quite a few I'd say from the look of the ol' girl......

That reminds me... I lost TRWX 0000.

I was in a MicroTrains box, but then I needed the MT box for something.
Then it was sitting on my workbench.
Then it vanished...
Every time I try to look for it, I find something else I lost. (except TRWX 0000)

A little late to the party, I finally wired up my Atlas Mogul for DCC and it's running like a beauty!

Nothing beats switching, headache free, with micro-steam!  All credit to the gear reduction.  Why this is not standard is beyond me.

Haven't posted anything for awhile but have been working on the layout a lot. The last couple of weeks I have been doing some scenery and a lot of ballasting of Waterville Yard.
From the east end

Wow!..nice ballast job on this yard!..... :o

Hmmm... I gots me both the loco and the gizmoto siting in boxes.
Guess it's time to take a closer look!

I'd say wrap some tape over the top of the decoder and then lay down a fine layer of chopped wood (unless you want to make a mesh of coal)
