....but why cut the wires... I mean, our unit will play a wide range of authentic trains sounds and the entire back catalog of the Bare Naked Ladies so...... what more could one want...????????

Sound is optional: It can be easily disabled (muted).  Real serious soundphobes can cut the speaker wires for a more permanent solution.  ;)

I'm not against sound... just the incessant horn tooting that seems to accompany it. I like the sound of the locomotive, but not enough to be willing to pay for it.

There is also a Dreadnought effect here... all non-sound units in your fleet are now obsolete.

Since there has not been a top-line updated (sorry Life-Like) of the FAs, I will go with that.  Lots of room for good sound and lots of roadnames to produce.

Sound or not, I'd be in for some updated FA's!

I'd be happy if we could get some more superdetail etchings for loci like the FA1/2s and other Alcos - RS1/2/3/11 (& D4/5), C420/628/630, the new S2/4, C424/425 - EMDs like the SWs, and the few BLW and FM on the market.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
