Got my BN from BLMA a few days ago and will be getting more of these the pennsy and C&NW for sure. These are excellent models all the way around! 8)

I received the eight cars I preordered from BLW yesterday.  Four PRR and four CGW/CNW.  These are really nice looking cars, very well done.  The PRR cars are for my 1984 Conrail era.  My 10/84 ORER has four of the sixteen H41 cars still in PRR paint.  PRR 261003 and 261006 are listed individually as still in PRR reporting marks.  PRR 261003 is in the first MSB PRR Freight car book photographed 2/14/88 and Fallen Flags 5/18/89.  All the PRR cars will need are an ACI tag and COTS.  I got the CGW cars for western interchange fodder.  Thanks.

I was tempted by a PRR car, but I'm having a hard time justifying it showing up in York PA since it was such a small class of cars.

But I may yet be convinced...

I have four arriving Monday. I elected to go with just the private owner cars since they would be more plausible than, say, a PRR car running on my UP of 1970. The private owner cars would also be good choices to set the stage for specific industries.

Craig sort of buggered me on the UP version, using 3-panel COTS and U-1 wheel dot, putting the lettering > 1980. I'm guessing he had no good reference for the UP cars as-built. :(

No, I have all the GATC builder photos, Craig just tends to do the later schemes first.

Are these around today - I only remember seeing one and doing a double take - about 10 years ago...

There's at least one around today (well... maybe, it's probably scrapped by now)... but it was on a cut-off track and nowhere near being in service.
