Love the bridge. What was your source of beams for the deck truss and towers?

Very nice job on the bridge.  Looking forward to seeing the scenery take shape around it.

Looks fabulous-- what did you use for the deck truss portion of the trestle?

It came from a Atlas HO bridge.

Ran the locomotive at Portola

 Thanks Gordon
Yea, I did that too the last time we was out there 6 or 7 years ago. The people there are so great and informative.

I was trying to mount a Tortoise on the turnout at wye, and I couldn't get it lined up so it would work the way I wanted. So I drew up some mounts and printed them. Here what I came up with so I have adjustments both ways. These will be my standard mount for all Tortoise's now.

Those are nice. I could use a tortoise mount like that.

Very interesting. At 12 screws per mount, that's going to chew through screws pretty fast.

Yes they will. I use the 4 supplied with the Tortoise and that helps. I just ordered 500, so it will last for awhile.

Just a thought, you could put a hole in the middle of the plates and cut down of the amount of material and build time. Especially with all those screws, you probably wouldn't lose much structurally.

That mount is ingenious.

If you want to make a small fortune in the model railroad industry, you could start with those (and a large fortune).
