PTTX cars in!

MBK & BLW bot show the BLMA PTTX pipe flats in stock. I had picked up a couple of pipe loads by protoloads.com at Trainfest, what timing! although the loads are more expensive than the BLMA ones, they are made from aluminum tubing and have the wooden dunnage between each layer and really look sharp!

With the protoloads, do you need the BLMA crossbracing for the PTTX?

I have a few RTTX's I was thinking of re-using for pipe loads...

I would not think so, the Protoloads have the dunnage attached already, BUT, I know little about how these are loaded in real life, other than seeing pictures.d with the "Tyco" like appearance of the BLMA loads, which do not come with lumber between each level. The protoloads are aluminum tubing, which also gives the car weight. Wish they would do some of their other HO loads in N!

Yes... the risers and ties are part of the JTTX/PTTX conversion...

The prototype loads the BLMA pipe loads were based off of do not have cribbing between the upper nested pipes (they're nested and therefore do not require cribbing).  The BLMA loads do have the lower cribbing and the level of cribbing between the non-nested pipes.
