Trainworx PD3000, release II announced

Trainworx announced the second PD3000 release this morning, due Summer 2014.  The common "plain Jane" NAHX with Roman font, along with a number of colorful lessee schemes.

The Ideal White Cement car has a build date of 8/69.  This breaks my original understanding that these cars were post 1970 manufacture, which is a good thing and that car is going on my radar.  That particular car also has the earliest "N.A.H.X.", in Garamond font and I'm wondering a) what other private schemes appeared in the earliest (pre-1970) cars and B) whether a plain vanilla NAHX version appeared with the earliest font style?

As long as the model is selling I would bet we'll see more Conrail love.

I got my Chukpak which included two PD3000s and two of their new corrugated gons, one each in PC and CR.

I have two of the PC's and plan to get 1 or 2 more PC these cars are really nice so I will probably get a few from this release. I hope they announce Trailer Train schemes on the straight sill 85' flat soon.

The BM yahoo folks say mostly cement. Springhill Models says mostly talc. Shot below is of a 5900 series in cement service.

I'd say cement or talc service... both make sense to be shipped in a PD type car.

Ok thanks. I know Guilford ran the 5 bay ones though Ayer on their way to Hostess in Maine and used ADM ones for flour service in northern MA.

If you're talking about the B&M cars, the BM Yahoo guys say that cars were returned to lessor after expiration of 15 year lease, so BLT 2-78 would mean they departed in 1993. If talking about the PD3000 in general, they seem to have operated from 1969 onward, and are still out there.
