Perhaps.  The New Haven 14-4 and 6-4-6 fluted cars are a bad example though, as they regularly ran as through-equipment to Florida destinations.  More so the 14-4 cars.

NP car on a army/navy games makes sense.  I've seen photos of many different rr heavyweights on those trains.  You could also find many different rr heavyweights on boy scout jamboree, American Legion and Shriners specials.  And there has been an upswing on private cars on Amtrak South and West of DC for the past year, not counting the local stationed heavyweight Dover Harbor.  Think my favorite catch was this Milwaukee obs headed to Newport News last year leaving Alexandria, VA.

Very nice! Anything Milwaukee is something that just has to be modeled, of course.

That looks like the works of a graffiti artist I was reading about last week.  Same theme but he norally does building sides.  Cant remember what he goes by.

Butch Eyler did this car in HO.  It was parked behind his shop in Biglerville PA and took a bunch of photos.  I have a handful of them.  He was posting here under sw1000b .  If I remember correctly, this was hand painted.

The train regularly ran with a L&N 6-4-6 which is why I suspect that the NH 6-4-6 was used.  The Sections were still a Military preference as far as sleeping accommodations went for personnel.  Interesting enough, the day train on the Georgia featured old Pullman sleepers whose space was sold as parlor seating... these lasted into the late-60s... up to nearly when the day train was dropped in favor of the Super Mixed train.

I can't decide if this was made from a tender or a tank car but I SO want one.

Figured I'd start with a Tichy rotary for the blades and frame and go from there.
