Conrail Windsor St Yard (York PA) Engineering Report

I decided to paint downtown York today. The green-ness of the raw foam was driving me nuts.

Over time, scenery contours will be cut info the foam, and things will change, but until then, this looks a lot better to me than it did before.

I like your positionable lighting system. You can move the arms around to get the most light in any area you want without having to set up and take down temporary lights. Actually not a bad idea for a final lighting system. Put the brightest lights over a layout's best scenicked detailed areas and not so much light on the "good enough" areas. After all, the only place where the sun shine is constant on every visible square foot of land is in a desert.

Thanks. I hit on it while trying to figure out what to do without performing surgery on the ceiling. The only problem are the uprights on the peninsula, but they're just screwed in, so if they get in the way, away they go!

Ed, I know there is more scenery work to be done, but the first thing to come to my mind; looks like an Old Lionel Display Layout were the grass was green paint and the roads were gray paint

I realize that it's still early, so I'm not going to bust your balls over the Lionel comparison.  But, I would like to see some topography added, especially since there's some rolling hills around York.
