Anyone come across n scale clear corrugated  clear sheets. I have checked Plastruct,Evergreen and Kibri and haven't found it. I want to use it w/regular corrugated for roof and use the clear for skylights. My next step is trying to make my own somehow. Thanks Jerry

I think that one of the European manufacturers  like Kibri, Vollmer, Noch, or similar makes this type of sheet. But I don't remember which one. Did you search through the Walther's website(as they carry many of those European lines)?

I looked a few years ago and found nothing, as I wanted to model the clearish green sheet used as a window application on older corrugated buildings.  I keep up with products pretty well and haven't seen anything.  I thought about casting regular sheet with tinted clear polymer, but shamefully never got around to it  I have an idea how to cast flush mounted window areas but am saving that one for when the project is reborn.

I found what you are looking for from Brawa. Green opaque corrugated sheet Brawa p/n 2856 or 186-2856 from Walthers. Now if I could find it in a clear or white opaque for me lol. When the stock is depleted it will be a discontinued item at Walthers. I imagine at Brawa as well.I hope I ended your quest.

I've got to wonder...

(a) Make a plaster casting of the wavy surface of the opaque sheet.
(b) Lay a piece of clear styrene or acetate over the casting.
(c) Apply heat (heat gun or maybe oven?) until plastic "slumps" into the waves.

Might work, might not, but wouldn't be too hard or expensive to test.

Um, Jerry, I looked those up on the Walthers site and they are clear, like you want.  They are, however, HO scale and I model in N.  They're on sale though, so if you'll put up with twice the size, go for it.  I'll keep looking or do-it-myself.

Peteski, again, it's HO, it doesn't count.

I saw a picture and it was green and listed as all scales...... but I will find out as I ordered it .
I also model N. I will let you know when I have it in my hands and settle the mystery.I could cast and see how it turns out. I have the stuff to do it just can't remember the name of the stuff.

Oh come on sirenwerks, use a little modeler's licence.  ;)
I guess we have to wait for Jerry's evaluation of its suitability for N scale.

Well I got the Brawa sheets. They are clear, but are Ho. You might get away with it if there is no other corrugated N scale but is obvious when next to N .What looked like green is a green product sheet in the bag. I guess I have to roll my own.

Oh well...  :(  Thanks for the follow up.

Maybe you could take some N scale corrugated roofing sheets and find someone with a vac-u-form machine. They could use that roofing as a form for vacuum forming a piece of clear plastic sheet.

I was thinking clear resin over N corrugated roofing.

That'll probably work too. Just make sure to use mold release on the plastic roofing material or the resin will stick to it.  Or better yet, make RTV rubber mold of the original roofing then use the mold to cast it out of clear resin.

Well I finally got around to molding the N corrugated with a clear resin. It came out perfect. About $7.00 for resin. It was exactly what I was looking for.Looking in the June MRR what do I see, my engine house with corrugated clear panels on the roof.I thought my idea was unique! Oh well, cost me less than $66.00.
