The new round of Train-Worx trailers is announced and it includes the CGW along with a couple other lesser roads.  I think I need 21.

The CGW served the meat packing industry namely Rath and Hormel, and these trailers could be found anywhere.  This has been posted before, but here's a trailer in MA.

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I hate when that happens! (not really)

Where could I find the rest of the announcement?

The rest looks like the CNW, Q, and Denver Chicago Trucking.  It's not on the TW page yet but is on some E-Tailers.

It's good then that only three numbers will be available initially, to help keep you grounded.

You'll notice that 3 divides into 21 evenly.   :)

Too bad for me as all except the first CBQU & DC one has Z numbers . I know the trailers themselves are post 1960 , but the Z is the deal breaker for me .

Did any of the CGW trailers survive in piggyback service in 1974?  The others I can use, except for the DC and CNW Bicentennial, as I know many CB&Q trailers were still seen after the BN merger.

I'd have to look and see if any of the trailer photos I have are post merger, but I doubt I'll be able to tell unless it's dated.  I would have to believe that these trailers made it 6 years into the merger, it's not like they stopped hauling meat they didn't call it the Cheap and Nothing Wasted for nothing.  I guess I'd find a '74 ORER and see how many are listed.  IIRC, there were two batches painted like this, 100 each.

I imagine those Zs come off pretty easy somehow.  What's up with the C&NW trailers?  I can see the one is 1976 but are the other two pre-1970 (minus the Zs)?

Sirenwerks:  As painted, I'd say they were 1969 or later, simply because they have ACI labels.  The paint schemes may have been around before that, but as modeled, they're basically 1970s trailers.

Jason:  No point looking it up, unless you just want to.  If you say the C&NW wasn't in any hurry to repaint them, that's good enough for me.  Thank you!

ACI label implementation was mandatory starting in '68, I thought; which means any new equipment then would have them.  If I keep the labelled trailers shiny new, I could probably get by with a year earlier.  Well, that's my logic.  I just thought the C&NW logo looked newish.  I don't know much, nor have I found much about C&NW's trailers pre-Falcon.

On the CNW trailers, first whenever your looking at late 60's or early 70's stuff, look at the logo.  "Employee Owned" started in 1972.  So the only trailer that could be before this would be the first one.  However, with the first one, it has the front mounted reefer unit and I don't know what year this started, but I don't believe you can put two cars on an 85' car.
